Fortifikationsverket is a government agency tasked with providing the defense with tailored properties. We own and manage our unique and extensive property portfolio located throughout Sweden, and we also build new properties when our tenants need them.

Your Daily Life as a Project Manager in an Authority with Many Exciting Construction Projects

As a project manager, you will independently lead investment projects in the construction/infrastructure area. You are responsible for the execution of construction projects with associated infrastructure, from early stages to completed buildings/infrastructures. You will be accountable for time, cost, quality, environment, and functionality. You will have customer and authority contacts and participate in the procurement of consultants and contractors. The role also includes being the client responsible towards consultants and contractors, and you should be able to take on the representative role for certain projects. The position involves travel primarily in eastern Sweden, with potential travel to other parts of the country, as Fortifikationsverket operates nationwide.

What Do You Offer Us?

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university or college degree in civil engineering, construction technology, road and water, architecture, property management, or equivalent.
• Alternatively, other education that we deem equivalent.
• Experience in independently leading investment projects related to the construction and property sector with responsibility for time, cost, quality, environment, and functionality.
• Experience as a project manager in a municipality/authority, design/construction consultant, or contractor.

Furthermore, you have a high security awareness, good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written, and good familiarity with administrative IT systems. A valid driver's license (class B) is required.

It Is Meritorious If You Have:

• Knowledge of property and consulting/contract law.
• Experience working with fortification and physical protection of buildings for the Armed Forces or other government entities.
• Experience in handling and document management within government agencies.
• Experience with Fortifikationsverket's operations, primarily in construction and management.
• Leadership experience.

The position is a permanent employment, based in Stockholm, Muskö, or Eskilstuna. Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as employment at Fortifikationsverket is security classified.
